THE REST - Terms and Conditions

Legal Bits and Pieces

Before undertaking your flight you need to sign a disclaimer form and to tell us if there are any medical conditions that may impact on your safety or enjoyment.  Examples are pregnancy, heart problems, medicated high blood pressure, or significant low blood pressure, neck or spinal injuries and similar such problems.  If any of these apply please contact us to discuss the implications.  In nearly every case it will not stop you from undertaking your flight but may change some aspects of the flight.

Warbird aircraft operate under regulation CASR Part 132.150  from the Civil Aviation Safety Authority whereby the aircraft and the pilot are registered with the Australian Warbird Association Limited and operate under their procedures.

Previously military aircraft were not allowed to carry paying passengers as they have been tested to military requirements not civilian.  These regulations allow for adventure flight operations.  As part of these regulations all passengers need to sign that they are aware of the following:

The matters about which a passenger must be told are that:

                     (a)  the design, manufacture, and airworthiness of the aircraft are not required to meet any standard                               recognised by CASA; and

                     (b)  CASA does not require the aircraft to be operated to the same degree of safety as an aircraft used                          for air transport operations; and

                     (c)  travel in the aircraft is done at the passenger's own risk: and

                     (d)  a more detailed briefing about the safety of the aircraft will be given to the passenger before the

    passenger boards the aircraft.

If in doubt please speak to us – we are happy to answer questions.  Contact us on 0427 432865

Changes:

Naturally, due to weather, maintenance, illness etc, changes sometimes have to be made. We will contact you if the weather is not suitable for your desired flight on the day.  This includes conditions such as low cloud, turbulence, low visibility and excessive rain causing a soft runway.  If you are having to travel significantly for the flight it can be worthwhile to ring and check the day before - although please remember, this is Tasmania - the weather changes a lot!  We understand that you have built yourself up for a great time and are keen to get going but remember - we consider your safety and comfort to be paramount considerations - not to forget the fact that we are up there as well so have a significant interest!

If you need to change your flight please let us know as soon as possible.  We do not charge for changes or cancellations to bookings if you contact us the day before your flight.

If you wish to change from the 30 minute flight to the 60 minute flight, or to add the video fee in then we only charge for the additional amounts required.  There are no administration fees for additions to bookings.

If there is a failure of the video system we will give the option of a refund of the video price ($99) or extra flight time if the problem is noticed whilst still airborne.  No further compensation will be provided for failure of video system.
